Ycenter Africa capacity building

We are partnering with diverse stakeholders to tackle some of the most pressing issues in Agriculture in Africa through capacity building.

1. Translational research

Promoting research among educators and practitioners that directly directly to increasing efficiency for farmers. We are developing on-ground capacities with farmers called ATEX Hubs (Agriculture Technology and Extension) that provides extension services for farmers so they can directly employ latest research methodologies to their benefit.

2. Conducive Policies

Our platform will highlight stories of innovation in collaboration with local and national agencies that will directly guide the officials to develop more favorable and pragmatic policies.

3. Youth inclusion

We have partnered with agencies like ANAFE-AFRICA to deliver content, train the trainers and directly involve the young minds of Africa in collaborating with farmers to co-create innovative solutions. These programs will be delivered online and within universities to promote entrepreneurship using Design thinking approach.

4. Smart Investments

New innovations to combat climate change, to create smarter policies and to use data for agriculture transformation calls for smart investments beyond traditional models of charity. Our platform will showcase indicators and create new standards of in agro-innovations specific to a country and region that will attract investments from corporates and international developmental agencies.
