Blockchain for Global Impact is an online course designed for participants to learn the basics of Blockchain technology, its evolution, creation and application. As a learner we will take further into creation and connection of Blockchain applications, Bootstrapping network effects, Different cryptocurrencies and Token utility canvas. This course will also bring a component of problem solving using Human-Centered Design so you can learn about Customer Personas, Complex problem solving and Creative Ideation techniques that can help you to immediately apply your blockchain principles to real world problem solving.

Skills you acquire:
  • You will be able to apply the basics of blockchain technology into a small scale capacity
  • You will have an understanding of which industries can apply blockchain technology to our everyday lives, and what industries don’t make sense for the technology
  • You learn the basics of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Quorum, ZCash, Monero, Ripple and Corda’s blockchain and how they compare to each other
  • You will be able to break complex problem into simple solvable parts

Full Course Length:
  • Online: 4 weeks. Weekly 4-5 hours.
  • Offline: We offer and curate events around the world for you to learn more about blockchain.

Ycenter team, Blockchain Specialist Mike

Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy is the Blockchain Education Lead at Ycenter. He is a blockchain evangelist working on numerous blockchain projects for social good around the world. Previously with ConsenSys, Mike worked in developing blockchain startups through strategic growth, community engagement and market intel capacities. He is passionate to bring thought leaders, development experts, governance, financial and legal minds together to show people how to grow this environment into an inclusive network for all. Originally from Philadelphia, Mike is active in the sports community as an athlete and a fan. He loves to be able to exercise his mind along with his physical attributes, while coaching others and teaching them how to better themselves through sports. He is an avid traveler and loves to experience everything in the world once. If he loves it, he will do it twice!.

Miten Mehta

Miten Mehta is a Serial Entrepreneur and Investor. Currently working as a Google consultant in capacity of a program manager where he is creating a new Consensus model and PoC (Proof of Contribution) on top of Ethereum to reward the developer community. Miten also serves actively as a Mentor, Investor and Advisor to Stanford Angels and Entrepreneurs, Spinta Global Accelerator and several other companies around the world. Miten is a globally recognized tech entrepreneur and a principal advisory board member at Ycenter.

Dhairya Pujara

Dhairya Pujara is the Founder, CEO at Ycenter, he is responsible for building a global ecosystem bringing in corporates, universities, NGOs for creating experiential educational programs. Dhairya is the curator for "Global Shaper Hub Philadelphia" by World Economic Forum. He has been a global TEDx organizer and a sought-after public speaker on entrepreneurship and international development. He delivers keynote and guest lectures in some of the top business schools and conferences around the globe. Dhairya sits on the advisory board for European Commission program LASIN - Latin American Social Innovation network. In 2015, American Immigration granted him an approval for special category work visa reserved for "an individual of extra-ordinary abilities”. He received his Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University.

Ycenter team, COO Rohaan Goswami

Rohaan Goswami

Rohaan Goswami is the COO and Director of Product at Ycenter India. He leads the engineering and design teams and is chief architect of Ycenter’s global experiential learning platform EPIC. He is also in charge of driving Ycenter's worldwide expansion programs, specifically in Asia and the Middle East. When not solving challenges at Ycenter, he works as the Creative Director at ProjectOne, a non-profit media collective that he founded in 2016 to research on & celebrate human diversity. Rohaan is frequently invited as a visiting faculty for Design Thinking, Social Innovation and Blockchain domains across top universities including IIT-Bombay and IIT-Roorkee, and also as a keynote speaker & advisor for international organizations, policy makers and conferences including Shell Foundation, IEEE and Unite 2030. In November 2017, Rohaan was invited as a delegate from India to the Misk Global Forum in Riyadh, in association with the United Nations Development Program. He believes that the shortest distance between two people is a story, and that the world can be brought closer together through efficient storytelling mediums and experiential education.
